How to Buy $VEE using MetaMask

Follow this simple procedure to buy or sell $VEE tokens using the MetaMask wallet.

Since the shutdown of Bittrex in 2023, the VEE token is no longer listed on a Centralized Exchange (CEX) and can now only be acquired through Decentralized Exchanges (DEX). This guide outlines the steps to buy or sell VEE using a DEX inside the MetaMask Wallet Extension.

Loading ETH into MetaMask

As an ERC-20 token on the Ethereum blockchain, you will need ETH to cover transaction fees when buying or selling VEE. Additionally, if you wish to purchase VEE, you need either ETH or USDt. In this guide, we will use ETH with the MetaMask wallet.

We won't cover the process of obtaining ETH in your wallet, but you can purchase ETH directly using your credit card in MetaMask or through your preferred exchange, such as Binance.

As an example, we have already loaded 0.037 ETH, valued at $113.67 at the time of writing.

Adding BLOCKv token VEE in MetaMask

Visit the BLOCKv website and navigate to the "Where to buy" section to copy the "VEE Token on Ethereum" contract address: "0x340d2bde5eb28c1eed91b2f790723e3b160613b7". It's crucial to copy the token contract address from the official website to ensure accuracy.

To open the following screen:

Next, click on the Custom Token tab, paste the token contract address you copied, and then click Next.

Finally, click Import.

The VEE token is now added to your MetaMask wallet, showing a balance of 0 VEE.

Swapping ETH for VEE in MetaMask

With the VEE token added, we now need to swap some ETH for the equivalent value in VEE, minus transaction fees. Click on the Swap button.

Search for VEE and select the token you previously added.

Enter the amount of ETH you wish to convert to VEE. In this example, we entered 0.01 ETH ($30.71), which converts to 2798.5342 VEE, with transaction fees and an additional 0.875% fee to MetaMask.

After accepting the swap, wait a few seconds.

We have received 2798.53418 VEE, valued at $30.29 USD, leaving us with $79.88 USD.
